“Mary and I actually discussed some ideas before we started. We decided that we wanted to work with ideas about sustainability. Our usual work is quite different: she works with representation and my work is abstract, her work is 2D and mine is 3D. I think our first pieces went towards the experimental right away.” –KK

“I had been recently working with collage since the Shelter-In-Place, so I continued with cutting up and collaging old prints and rubbings. The new technique I used with work A, was to cut my finished collage into equal parts, adding small holes for the elements to hang on the wall in variable arrangements. This was an interpretation of sustainability.” –MM
